Hector Zuniga

Hector Manuel Zuniga “Varela” was 74 years old of Pecos Texas, passed away on April 3, 2023 in Pecos Texas. Hector Manuel Zuniga was born in Ojinaga Chihuahua Mexico to Bonifacio Zuniga and Josefa Varela on March 4, 1949. He married Elva Tarin Zuniga in October of 1970 in Ojinaga Chihuahua. He worked as an equipment operator for 20 years and a mechanic for 35 years until the day he passed. He loved playing pool with friends and the enjoyed breading and training Game Cocks.

Hector Manuel is preceded in death by his parents Bonifacio Zuniga and Josefa Varela. His sisters Chuy, Soccoro, Nena, Maria and his brothers Mateo & Lito Zuniga Varela.

Hector Manuel is survived by his wife Elva Zuniga, daughter Zenia Olivo, son Hector Zuniga, son Cijifredo Zuniga, and Jomyra Fuentes. Sister Celia Nieto, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Rosary will be on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at 7:30 pm. Visitation will be Sunday April 9th from 9am to 9pm at Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday,  April 10, 2023 at 10:00 am, Funeral mass will be at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Zuniga, Jacob Zuniga, Brian Fuentes Jr., Joe Lewis Benavidez, Adrian Tarin and Vincent Zuniga.
