Ventura Mendoza

Ventura M. Mendoza 63 of Pecos passed away Thursday February 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 19, 1956 to Genaro Mendoza Sr and Tomasa Muro Mendoza in Van Horn, Tx. He was a dedicated landscaper and a Christian Catholic.

Ventura loved watching wrestling matches, going all four days to the rodeo where he would sit in his favorite spot every year, loved all types of sports loved it so much he tried to attend all the Pecos Eagles games it didn’t matter which sport was being played. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also loved food so much he was a frequent client at Alfredos Mexican Restaurant. He had his own plate named after him the Ventura Special. He will be dearly missed by everyone.

He is preceded in death by his brother Hector Mendoza.

Ventura is survived by his parents Genaro Sr. and Tomasa Mendoza of Pecos, Tx. daughters Senaida Mendoza and husband Ruben Esparza, Sulema Reyes and husband Mario all of Pecos, Tx. Olga Mendoza and wife April of Midland, Tx. son Orlando Mendoza and wife Casy of Pecos, Tx. sisters Lupe Marchan of Pecos, Tx, Martha Martinez and husband Victor Sr, and Melba Carrasco and husband Jaime all of Odessa, Tx. brother Genaro Mendoza Jr and wife Ester of Pecos, Tx. and the mother of his children Francisca Urias of Pecos, Tx.

Ventura also leaves to cherish his memories

14 grandchildren Alejandro, Stephanie, Shasity, and Alesario Reyes, Ryan, Timothy, Ayden, Avery, Ashton, and Alexander Mendoza, Natalie and Adam Comans, Mercedes and Ryan Esparza

4 great grandchildren Noah Palomio, Jayce, Logan and Gio Mendoza.

Visitation is set for Thursday February 20, 2020 from 1pm-9pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home chapel.

Mass is set for 10 am Friday February 21, 2020 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with Father De La Cruz officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery
