Olga Hernandez Munoz, 82, of Pecos, Texas passed away on February 20, 2022, in Pecos, Texas surrounded by her husband of 68 years, her 7 children, numerous grandchildren and close family. Olga was born in Lovington, New Mexico to Isabel Hernandez Florez, on May 30, 1939. She married Ramon G. Munoz Sr., on October 30, 1954 in Pecos, Texas.
Olga, better known as “La Comadre”, was a social butterfly with many friends in her community and a mother to many nieces and nephews. Her zest for life was contagious; she loved music and dancing and telling stories of her life.
Olga was a Homemaker who devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. Her immense love for them will forever live in their hearts. She will be missed tremendously!
Olga was preceded in death by her mother Isabel H. Florez, her step father Faustino Florez, sisters Gloria H. Ontiveros and Grace H. Tarango. Her brothers, Faustino Florez Jr. and Ricardo H. Florez.
She is survived by the husband Ramon G. Munoz Sr., of Pecos; Son, Ramon H. Munoz Jr, (Martha) of Pecos; Daughter, Irma M. Jasso, (Johnny) of Pecos; Daughter, Elsa M. Torres, (Bobby) of Midland; Daughter, Maribel M. Cordero, (Willie) of Fort Worth; Daughter, Eban H. Munoz; of Fort Stockton Daughter, Prissy M. Contreras, (Jesse) of Pecos; Son, Robert H. Munoz, (Rosalee) of Pecos; Sisters, Yolanda H. Florez of Pecos and Connie F. Herrera of Pecos; Brother Robert H. Hernandez of Tucson Arizona, 21 Grandchildren 32 Great Grandchildren 10 Great-Great Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be: Ramon Munoz III, Mark Anthony Torres, Matthew Torres, Justin Contreras, Zachary Carrasco, Nicholas Cajero, Robert Bryson Munoz, Isai Frias
Honoree Pallbearers: Christopher Munoz, Isaiah Torres
Funeral Services will be held at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 9am-9pm with a Rosary at 7:30pm.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 25, 2022, at 10 am at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church, Father Jose De La Cruz Longoria officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements made by Pecos Funeral Home. Mask are required at the Funeral Home and Church.
The family of Olga wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Serrano, American Home Health and Hospice especially to Darla Blackstock, Robin DeVivo, Melinda Cabral and Melissa Ramirez for their care and comfort to our beloved mother. Also, much gratitude to Deacon Oscar Machuca and Father Jose De La Cruz Longoria and Pastor Ron Garcia for their many prayers during this difficult time.
