It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marco Antonio Muniz, a cherished son, loving brother, and devoted friend, who left this world on March , 2025 in his hometown of Pecos, Texas. Born on August 10, 1999, in Alpine, Texas, Martin Muniz Sr. and Carolina Z Muniz, Marco was a bright light whose warmth and kindness will forever resonate in the lives he touched.
A proud graduate of Pecos High School, Marco exemplified hard work and dedication in his role as a pumper for Permian Resources. His passions were many, but his love for the Houston Texans and the Milwaukee Brewers spoke to his spirited nature and loyalty. Marco was truly one of a kind—an adventurous spirit with a boundless heart, he delighted in spending quality time surrounded by family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Marco's lineage continues to embrace his essence, as he is survived by his loving parents, Martin Muniz Sr. and Carolina Z Muniz, and his siblings, Martin Muniz Jr., Michael Muniz, and Monica Muniz. He took immense pride in his role as an uncle to Aiden Muniz and Eli Muniz, who brought him endless joy.
While we mourn the loss of Marco, we also reflect on the profound impact he made on those fortunate enough to be in his orbit. He is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before him: his grandfather Ulpiano Muniz, grandmother Carolina Zubia, and aunts Blanca Rosa Zubia, Sylvia Z Carrasco, and Lourdes Muniz Ronquillo, holding them close in spirit.
In honor of Marco’s life, a Prayer Service will be held at 5:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM on the same day. The celebration of Marco’s life will conclude with funeral mass at 2:00 PM on March 27, 2025, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church, followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Martin Muniz Jr., Michael Muniz, Aiden Muniz, Jordan Roman, Gavin Franco, Enrique Levario Muniz, Brian Fuentes.
As we gather to pay our respects, let us remember Marco as the vibrant soul he was and carry forth his legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, and the memories we hold will shine bright in our lives.
Marco, thank you for being you—your journey here may have ended, but your light will guide us always.
