Julia Villescas

Julia Antelma Garcia Villescas, 79, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on, September 27, 2022, in Odessa, Texas. Julia was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, to Liborio and Julia Garcia on June 26, 1943. She maried Atilano “Tilo” Villescas on December 18, 1961 in Pecos, Texas. She was involved in various organizations at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, to include Las Guadalupanas and the church choir. Julia loved to sing and she loved to dance and she would share her passion by leading the choir ministry at the local nursing home. She served the Lord with her talents to the end.

Julia is proceeded in death by her parents, Liborio and Julia Garcia, her daughter, Irma Isela, and her sisters, Belem Varela, Celsa Troncoso, Juanita Garcia, and Pilar Buentello.

Julia is survived by her husband, Tilo Villescas of Pecos, daughter, Patricia Lopez  and husband Jorge of Odessa, sons, Mario Villescas and wife Cynthia of 29 Palms, California, Hector Villescas and wife Melissa of San Angelo, and Alberto Villescas of Odessa.

Julia leaves to cherish her memory seven grandchildren, Jorge Lopez, Javier Lopez and wife Magaly, Catalina Morales and husband Jaime, Caity Sullivan and husband Jon, Gabriel Villescas, Ryan Villescas, Robert Villescas, and nine great grandchildren, Cecilia Lopez, Jorge Lopez, Javier Lopez, Camila Lopez, Julia Lopez, Adrienne Morales, Arianna Morales, Andrew Morales, and Jameson Sullivan.

Pall Bearers will be Jorge Lopez, Javier Lopez, Javi Lopez, Robert Villescas, Gabriel Villescas, Jaime Morales, Robert Troncoso, and Medardo Buentello.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Pecos Funeral Home with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church with Father Gabriel  Terrones Marin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
