Jose Gomez Jr.

Jose A. Gomez Jr, 74 passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 in Odessa, Texas. Jose was born in Por Venir, Mexico, on March 19, 1949 to Jose A. Gomez Sr. and Maria Alvarez Gomez. Jose attended school in Toyah, Texas. Jose married the love of his life Maria T. Gomez, he truck driver, loved music and loved playing the Trumpet, lifetime Pecos resident, and a Catholic.

Jose A. Gomez Jr. is preceded in death by his wife Maria Dolores Gomez, and his parents Jose A. Gomez Sr., and Maria Alvarez Gomez, brothers Sixto and Juan Gomez.

Jose A. Gomez Jr. is survived by his three daughters; Alicia Tarango (Turi), Joanna Zavala (Fernando), Diana Galindo, two brothers; Pepe Gomez, Manuel Gomez, one sister; Ramona Lara, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren all of Pecos, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ray Yniguez, Benjamin Yniguez, Joel Conejo, Daniel Patino, Daniel Valenzuela, Eli Acosta

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home from 9 am to 9 pm with Rosary at 7 pm.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, June 30, 2023  at 10 am at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with interment following the service at the Toyah Cemetery in Toyah, Texas.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.
