Jessie Pratt

Jessie Lara Pratt, 79, passed away on November 21st, 2022. Jessie was born in Big Spring Texas to Modesto and Olivia Lara on July 4, 1943. She worked for Ben’s Spanish Inn and Las Palmas. Jessie worked for Pecos Barstow Toyah ISD, in the cafeteria , for many years. She was also known for her famous tripitas that were sold at the fiestas. Jessie‘s home was always open to everyone and no one ever left hungry.

Jessie is preceded in death by her partner Saul Ramirez and her son Hal “Jimbo” Pratt.

Jessie survived by her daughter Diana Lara, Debra Reyes and her husband Joe Reyes, her son Robert Lara, her daughter Mini Madrid and her husband Johnny Madrid, and her son Richard Franco. She is also survived by 5 generations of grandchildren. She has one surviving sister Olivia “Vivi” Carrasco of Monahans,Texas.

Pallbearers will be: Gavin Franco, Ivan Paredez, Larry Paredez, Jeremy Munoz, Christopher Gonzales, LJ Madrid, Roman Lara, Joe Robert Lara III
Honorary pallbearer : Mike Gerke

Visitation will take place at Pecos Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. A Rosary will follow at 7 PM.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM at Santa Rosa Catholic Church on Friday, November 25, 2022. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery . Arrangements are by: Pecos Funeral Home.
