Guadalupe Varela

Guadalupe Hernandez Varela 88 passed away Thursday January 2, 2020 at Reeves Memorial Hospital. She was born September 30, 1931 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Nacario Hernandez and Guadalupe Gonzales Hernandez. She married Juan Nunez Varela. She was also a homemaker and a Catholic, member of the Guadalupanas and De Colores.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Juan Sr., sister Angelina Hernandez, brothers Nacario Hernandez Jr., and Amador Hernandez.

Lupe is survived by her daughters Maria Margarita Varela, and Elizabeth Ortega both of Pecos, Tx., Emma Leticia Aguilar of Big Spring, Tx., Rosa Varela of Midland, Tx., and Josie Varela of Waco, Tx. sons Juan Varela Jr., Joel Varela, and Michael Varela all of Pecos, Tx. sisters Aurora Hernandez and Manuela H.Rodriguez both of Eagle Pass, Tx.

Lupe leaves to cherish her memories numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation is set for Tuesday January 7, 2020 at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary at 7:30 pm.

Mass will be celebrated 10am Wednesday January 8, 2020 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery.
