Engracia Lechuga Chavez

Engracia Lechuga Chavez, 78, of Pecos, passed away Wednesday July 24, 2019 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Tx. She was born April 16, 1941 in Fromberg, Montana to Jose Trancito Chavez and Amalia Lechuga she was a homemaker and a Christian Catholic. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Armando Castillo and twin-sister Ramona Chavez. Engracia is survived by her daughters Marylou Chavez, of Pecos, Tx. and Luz Elena "Lucy" Chavez of Big Spring, Tx. and grandson Joseph Paul Chavez of Pecos, Tx. Mrs. Chavez also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces and nephews.

Mom loved spending time with her family especially with her grandson, but she also spent time with her special needs child Lucy. She loved spending time with her cousin Bertha and her nieces and nephews. Mom you will truly be missed. We the Chavez family wishes to express a most sincere thank you to the Nursing Home staff of Focus Care of Pecos, Odessa Hospice and Medical Center Hospital for the special care that was provided to Engracia during her stay.

Visitation is set for Sunday July 28, 2019 from 3pm -9pm and Monday July 29, from 9am-9pm with rosary at 7:30 pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel. Mass has been set for 10am, Tuesday July 30, 2019 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church. Burial will be at 3pm at the Gaines County Cemetery in Seminole, Tx.
