Elisa Maldonado

Elisa R. Maldonado, 96, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on Tuesday,September 21, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. Elisa Maldonado was born in Miami, Arizona, to Encarnacion Ramirez and Dolores Urbina on October 13,1924. She married Manuel Maldonado on November 5, 1943, in Chihuahua, Mexico. Elisa Maldonado was a homemaker and devout Christian Catholic who enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, gardening, and watching her Spanish telenovelas. Most of all, she loved to spend her time with family.

Elisa Maldonado is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Manuel Maldonado, and children: Pedro Maldonado, Carmen Martinez, and Mario Maldonado.

Elisa Maldonado is survived by her son and daughters: Rito & Frances Maldonado of Odessa, TX, Soledad & Robert Mendias of Hobbs, NM, Maria Esther and Angel Abila of Barstow, TX, Guadalupe & Robert Munoz of Pecos, TX, Dolores & Lorenzo Guzmán of San Antonio, TX, 26 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Guzman, Elias Guzman, James Maldonado, Jesse Abila, Eddie Levine, and Juan Carlos Levine.

Visitation will be held at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 11 am to 9 pm with rosary at 7 pm. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church at 10 am. Mask are required to be worn at all times. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.
