Debra Kay Wright

Debra Kay Wright, 68, of Pecos, Tx., passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 in her home town Pecos. Debra was born to Tommie Talamantez and Severiano (Shine) Villalobos on September 8, 1956. She went to school at Pecos High School. She graduated from Odessa College. She worked as a Vet-Tech at the Pecos Animal Clinic for 17 years.

Debra Kay Wright is preceded in death by her parents; Tommie Talamantez and Severiano (Shine) Villalobos.

Debra Kay Wright is survived by her husband Jose Martinez, her children Joe Daniel Villalobos Wright, and Georgina Kay Fuentez, her sisters; Sandra Kay Hernandez, Marilyn Villalobos, Dorian Kay Fuentez, her grandchildren; Brianna Garcia, Angilina Wright, Clarriza Izaveal Wright, Sierra Chaynne Wright, her great-grandchildren; Ismael Paco Rodriguez, Leelynn Jayy Garcia, and Naylanii Rene Garcia.

It's surreal that you left us so early, you were young though fragile. We thought u had time, but didn't know that ten years meant four weeks and from beyond I hear you speak. You say to me "Remember when I said I would haunt you" you said it in jest. Before we knew from a positive test that you were leaving. Your body was failing, though you fought to live. You'd tell me now to spot grieving you were like that. So strong, you gave me a space to feel like I would always belong, we weren't perfect but we were us and that was enough.
