Amparo Fuentes Prieto

Amparo Fuentes Prieto, 73, of Kermit, Texas born on August 12, 1950 and passed away on February 25, 2024.

Her parents Miguel Amaya Fuentes and Melendez Fuentes raised her in East Pecos. She married Marcos (Palan) O. Prieto on July 26, 1969.She attended Pecos High School and Odessa College. She worked for 20 years as an Outreach Specialist and Odessa College employee with the Adult Basic Education Dept. for 4 yrs. She also worked as a field agent with John J. Ingram & Associates assisting with Social Security Disability cases. She helped low income families and local community children with fundraising for school supplies, meal programs and various human services.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcos (Palan) Prieto; parents, Miguel Amaya Fuentes and Melendez Fuentes, and her son Javier Prieto.

She is survived by her son, (Recluse) Prieto and his wife Jennifer Prieto; four grandchildren,Marisa Prieto, Adrian Prieto, Natalie Martinez, Prieto, and Phoenix Marcos Prieto; 8 great-grandchildren, Lilah, Autumn, Emma, Alexander, Leo Parra, and Jocelyn Parra, Annadelia and Jedidah Ramos
