Amelia Longoria Ramonez 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 1 ST at Focus Care Nursing Home. Graveside services are pending at Assumption Cemetery in Austin Tx.
Amelia was born in Victoria Tx. To Juan and Marianna Longoria on December 10, 1932.
She was raised and attended school in Edna Tx
In September 6 th 1955 she married Antonio Ramonez and moved to Pecos, Tx. Along
with her mother in-Law Margarita Ramonez, she helped run The Ramones Grocery
Store just outside of Pecos on Hwy. 17 until she retired in 2000. In her spare time, she loved reading a good book, listening to music, she enjoyed traveling, treasured spending time with family and friends especially with her faithful 4-legged companion Heidi. She was a loving wife a dedicated mother and daughter in-law, sister, and friend. She had a quick wit with an infectious laugh! She was a lifetime Pecos resident a Catholic and a member of the Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed.
Amelia is proceeded in death by her daughter Amanda Ramonez, her husband Antonio Ramonez, her life partner Roberto Cazares, her brothers Andres Longoria, Ramon Tijerina and Rudy Tijerina.
Amelia is survived by her daughter Margarite Ramonez of Pecos, sister Esperanza Almaraz (Jesus Almaraz) of Manor Tx.
Memorial s may be given in Amelia’s memory to The Reeves County Senior Center

The family is very Thankful to the wonderful care provided by Dr. Serrano, the Focus Care Nursing Home staff, and her friends at The Reeves County Senior Center.
